How They Work & Key Features

Most models feature 2 or 3 stainless steel (or cast iron) rollers. You feed prepared cane stalks into the inlet, turn the handwheel, and juice flows out while the fibrous bagasse (pulp) is ejected.

• 3-roller designs generally extract more juice (typically 60–80% yield) than 2-roller ones.
• Common output: 50–110 lbs (about 20–50 kg) of cane per hour, depending on model and effort.
• Inlet size is usually around 2–2.5 inches.
• Many include a juice outlet/faucet, adjustable roller gaps, and a sturdy base (cast iron or steel) for stability.
• Weight is often 50–70+ lbs, so they are stable but not highly portable without help.
